Oxyethylated Isononylphenols in Carbon Tetrachloride

Abstract: Translational diffusion coefficients of ethoxylated isononylphenol molecules C 9 H 19 C 6 H 4 O(C 2 H 4 O) n H in carbon tetrachloride were measured by nuclear magnetic resonance diffusometry. The hydrodynamic radii of the molecules were determined within the framework of the Stokes-Einstein relation. We showed that ethoxylated isononylphenols in carbon tetrachloride do not form micelles, and the dependence of the diffusion coefficients and, accordingly, the hydrodynamic radii of the nonionic surfactants on th… Show more

“…[52][53][54][55][56] Moreover, it was shown to be a suitable tool for the investigation of self-assembly to supramolecular structures. [57][58][59][60][61] In this work, we present the divergent synthesis of dendrons using uniform OPEs of different lengths as focal moieties by applying the P-3CR as a branching reaction, using the OPEs as carboxylic acid component (Figure 1). Additionally, the self-assembly properties of the synthesized and fully characterized dendrons were investigated via fluorescence spectroscopy as well as DOSY NMR spectroscopy.…”
