With the development of artificial intelligence technologies, generative systems that use text, image and voice commands are emerging. These include artificial intelligence applications that can create new images and videos by analyzing existing images, create new images from images that do not actually exist, and develop works of art from text and audio data. Artificial intelligence creates new designs from natural language explanations and reveals contextual and formal changes. While these opportunities are evolving as a new tool for artists and designers, they are causing questions and discussions in terms of productivity and originality. As a result, artificial intelligence can create animation scenarios and make character and concept designs in a short time, minimizing the need for hardware. The main purpose of the research is to examine the contact of animation art with artificial intelligence technologies and the reflections of this contact on creative processes in the context of the role of the artist/designer. Within the scope of the research, the innovations brought by artificial intelligence to the animation production process were evaluated and concepts such as the current position of animation, the role of the artist or designer in this process, changes in the design language, and how the design process is affected were discussed from a holistic and future-oriented perspective.
