P‐126: Pattern less Vertical Alignment Mode with Infinite Domains for Mobile Displays

Abstract: We propose a patternless vertical alignment (VA) mode with infinite domains for mobile displays. Memorizing switching directions of the liquid crystals by a polymerized reactive mesogen on surfaces produced infinite domains and fast response. Also, the transmittance of our patternless VA cell was enhanced by using circular polarizers.
