P‐67: Luminance Improvements of PDP using Reflection Layers Formed via Osmotic Coating Process

Abstract: In this study, a reflection layer on rear plate of plasma display panel (PDP) was formed via osmotic coating process in an attempt to improve luminance efficiency of PDP. The processing parameters of the osmotic coating process which include coating solvent, swelling characteristics, and coating time were optimized to obtain uniform reflection layer on inside walls of discharge cell.
