Abstract:BACKGROUND:
Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is one of the most common inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) complications. Importantly, anemia can contribute to patients’ poor quality of life, mainly because of its negative impact on the patients’ wellbeing, physical performance, mood, and cognitive function.
