Abstract: The newborn was well and presented no problems in the postnatal period. On the 12 th day of life neonatal ultrasound showed a cyst measuring 8.1 × 7 × 3.6 cm on the right side of the abdomen. At 122 days of life a laparotomy revealed a cyst of 8cm with a broad base attached to the left lobe of the liver. A partial excision with marsupilization of the cyst wall was performed.
