Although a preoperative coagulation screen revealed a prolonged prothrombin time with a recombinant thromboplastin (Innovin, Dade-Behring, Marburg, Germany) which failed to correct at all with a 1 : 1 mix of normal plasma there was no signi®cant intra nor postoperative blood loss.…”
