Abstract: Background Evolution of Crohn's disease (CD) is often marked by fibrostenotic complications and available biotherapies cannot prevent or treat intestinal fibrosis. The pathophysiological mechanisms of intestinal fibrosis are multiple and poorly understood. The intestinal epithelium probably plays a key role.
