Abstract: Background: Neuroinflammation plays an essential role in the advancement of both Alzheimer's disease (AD) and subcortical ischemic vascular disease (SIVD). Polyunsaturated fatty acids and their oxidized metabolites, in particular the bioactive oxylipins, are multifunctional molecules involved in the regulation and resolution of inflammation.
