P2P cloud network services for IoT based disaster situations information

Abstract: In order to cope with disaster situations properly, it is very important to identify the disaster scale and provide the accurate information of the site to the appropriate authorities including disaster site and Central Disaster Management Center, on-site command post, etc. and share the information provided. In particular, sharing information on disaster situations should control the disaster quickly to prevent the disaster situation from lasting and expanding. However, in the event of a large-scale disaster,… Show more

“…These studies focus on how to solve problems in relation to post-earthquake emergency response (Ghosh and Gosavi, 2017), early warning system for biodiversity (Rovero and Ahumada, 2017), welfare impacts of urban disasters (Grinberger and Felsenstein, 2016), etc. This includes the use of semi-Markov model, cloud-based architecture, agent-based models, and P2P cloud network services (Chung and Park, 2016). We also note that an equivalent number of review and conceptual studies have been done on DM.…”

“…Moreover, we note that 2 articles (2.6%) focussed on general disaster management without specifying any particular phase of disaster while 5 articles (6.6%) targeted all the four phases of disaster. “…When data is transferred from P2P, the cloud server processes storage, processing, and content usage. Cloud computing can reduce money, manpower and data loss to build a server in a hybrid P2P network [18]. Also, if the Internet is available, data stored on the server can be used regardless of time and places.…”

“…IoT presents the inter‐connection between the technologies and systems that would be involved in natural disaster management such as early warning system [4, 5]. IoT network is used to reduce the natural crisis consequences such as early shutting down for the sensitive applications by delivering a quick signal to a nuclear plant.…”
