Abstract: PURPOSE:Despite equivalent oncologic survivorship, U.S. lumpectomy rates previously declined in favor of more aggressive surgical options such as mastectomy, often performed in conjunction with a contralateral prophylactic mastectomy (CPM) with or without reconstruction.
