Abstract: Objective We previously demonstrated that the inhibition of phosphodiesterase type-5, an enzyme that degrades cGMP into inactive 5'-GMP, attenuates pulmonary remodeling and right ventricular (RV) hypertrophy (RVH) during exposure to chronic hypoxia (CH).
