Abstract:BACKGROUND: Schwannomas are benign peripheral nerve sheath tumors which grow slowly and are considered common peripheral nerve tumors. The presentation varies between painful masses, sensory complaints or rarely motor deficits. They are commonly capsulated and can be diagnosed clinically and using imaging studies as ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging. Surgery is the mainstay for treatment.
