Neurology specialists’ visual interpretation of psychogenic nonepileptic seizures: Contemplating their etiology and existing challenges

“…The results of a previously reported art project allow some comparison with the current study: in a similar setting, only one year earlier, neurology specialists painted and drew epilepsy as a neurological disease and depicted what the disorder means to them [21]. Many concerning issues emerged during the project: epilepsy was perceived as an imprisoning disease, which divides the patients' lives into "normal" and "abnormal" parts and negatively affects the experience of living within a society.…”
