Abstract:A novel oxidative
cross-coupling of benzo[b]thiophene
1,1-dioxides with arylboronic acids was reported. The efficient reaction
occurred at the C2-position via C–H activation, followed by
Pd(II)-catalyzed arylation. Furthermore, a series of C2-arylated products
with significant photoluminescence properties have been synthesized
and characterized, which illustrates the potential applications of
our method in the aggregation-induced emission field.
Diels-Alder reaction of tetra aryl cyclopentadienones with benzo[b]thiophene S, S-dioxides in nitrobenzene at reflux led to the formation of aryl-/hetero-aryl fused phenanthrene derivatives via SO2 elimination of the intermediate dihydro...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
