Abstract:Pancreaticopleural fistula is a diagnostic challenge to physicians. The diagnosis should be suspected if a patient presents with pleural effusion in a setting of chronic pancreatitis. The significantly raised amylase in the pleural fluid offers an important clue to the diagnosis.
