“…The Lower Nhecolândia subregion is covered by sandy clay sediments from the Pantanal Formation, with incipient clay and organic matter stratification and cemented by ferruginous material, but without current sediment input (Godoi et al, 2001;Assine, 2005). The soils are substantially sandy, with predominance of fine sand and salt accumulation, and may have a textural gradient (Furquim et al, 2010(Furquim et al, , 2017RCC, 2012;Schiavo et al, 2012;Boin et al, 2019;IBGE, 2019b;Andrade et al, 2020).
