It has many synonyms e.g., 'genuine papilloma of the nasal cavity' [5,6], 'inverting papilloma' [7], and 'inverted papilloma' [8,9], epithelial papilloma, fungiform papilloma, transitional cell papilloma, squamous cell papilloma, papillary sinusitis, soft papilloma, cylindrical cell carcinoma, polyp with inverting metaplasia, Ewing's papilloma and benign transitional cell growth. Vrabec suggested the term 'inverted Schneiderian papilloma' as these tumours originated from schneiderian membrane, which was derived from ectoderm of nasal placode [10].…”
