PAPR Reduction using DCT of MIMO-OFDM Systems Based Modified SLM Technique

Abstract: In this work, an endeavor has been made to consolidate adjusted SLM and PTS with DCT improves the PAPR decrease execution and limit the computational unpredictability without debasement in BER execution. This methodology has sensible PAPR decrease and computational multifaceted nature increments exponentially with increment in the subcarriers. In addition, when huge quantities of subcarriers are utilized, there exist high PAPR. So huge improvement is required for PAPR decrease and this can be accomplished util… Show more

“…To optimize performance for high PAPR and low BER, a variety of techniques can be used. Peak windowing, selective mapping (SLM), clipping and filtering, block coding approaches, and others are all mentioned by Shukla [5]. In terms of PAPR reduction, various strategies have been proposed by researchers which is Selective Mapping (SLM) [6][7], Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) [8][9][10][11] and codeword shifting [12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19].…”

“…These techniques can be classified under few categories: i. coding scheme where it will choose the codewords with minimum value of PAPR for transmission [8][9][10][11][12][13][14] ii. multiple signaling which it will generate signal permutation and minimum peak in envelope be selected to transmit e.g., Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) and Selective Mapping (SLM) [15][16][17][18][19][20][21] iii. signal distortion scheme is simplest implementation and the signal is distorted before to a high-power amplifier, such commanding, clipping and filtering [22][23][24][25] iv.…”
