“…Strain LB-8 T was sensitive to erythromycin (15 µg), lincomycin (2 µg), streptomycin (10 µg), chloramphenicol (30 µg), rifampicin (5 µg), ofloxacin (5 µg), novobiocin (30 µg), cefradine (10 µg), clindamycin (10 µg), vancomycin (15 µg) and tetracycline (30 µg), while resistant to gentamicin (10 µg), polymyxin B (30 µg), amoxicillin (10 µg), penicillin (10 µg), ampicillin (10 µg), kanamycin (15 µg), neomycin (30 µg) and spectinomycin (100 µg). Strain LB-8 T exhibited the common phenotypic characteristics of the family Chitinophagaceae , such as positive for activities of catalase, alkaline phosphatase, leucine arylamidase and valine arylamidase, and negative for oxidase, H 2 S and indole production [7]. Compared with the reference strains Flavisolibacter tropicus LCS9 T [29], Cnuella takakiae RG-1 T [6], Paracnuella aquatica N24 T [7] and Niastella populi KCTC 22560 T [30], strain LB-8 T did not hydrolyse gelatin, but assimilated potassium gluconate, adipic acid and malic acid ().…”
