Paradoxic effect of Benzodiazepines in geriatric population

Abstract: In daily medical practice there are several special situations against the prescription of benzodiazepines as common in all specialties, however, despite knowledge of their side effects there is controversy and difficulty in the management of geriatric patients. In this way, this is an opportunity through a critical review of the existing literature about the effect of benzodiazepines in the elderly.
