Parameter closed-loop optimization for pure electric vehicles: unified design of power system and control parameters

Abstract: To solve the problem of unreasonable vehicle parameters caused by unknown curb mass and open-loop power system and control strategy optimization in the development of pure electric vehicles, this paper presents a parameter closed-loop optimization algorithm (COA) via unified design of system and control parameters. First, a mass closed-loop algorithm (MCA) was adopted to optimize the parameters of power systems under an unknown curb mass and its convergence was proven. Next, with energy consumption being the i… Show more

“…Many studies have been carried out on the optimization of electric vehicles and in-wheel motor configurations (Huang et al, 2020; Tan et al, 2018; Toksoy and Yildiz 2020; Wang et al 2020, 2021; Yildiz and Özel 2021; Zhang et al, 2020; ). Compared to IWMs, EVs with centralized propulsion have the advantage of longer motor lifespan due to lower motor vibration, higher comfort, and better road handling due to lower unsprung mass (Liu et al, 2017).…”
