Parametric modeling and updating for bolted joints of aeroengine casings

Abstract: To establish accurate finite element (FE) model of bolted joint structures of aeroengine stator system (casings), this work implements the parametric FE modeling and updating of bolted joints of aeroengine stator system with multi-characteristic responses (multi-object). Firstly, the parametric FE modeling approach of bolted joint structure was developed based on the thin layer element method. And then the FE model updating thought of aeroengine stator system was developed based on the probabilistic analysis m… Show more

“…With the well-developed model, the contact stiffness can be well predicted while the prediction of damping is challenging, especially when macroslip occurs between the coupling interfaces. Furthermore, experimental tests are usually applied to obtain modal parameters for model updating [28,[30][31][32].…”

“…Kim et al, 10 Sharma and Desai, 11 and He and Zhu, 12 focused on the refined FE modeling method for bolted joint structures. Zhai et al, [13][14][15][16] investigated on the simulation of mechanical features of bolted joints based on FE modeling. Actually, the above modeling methods include non-parametric modeling approach and parametric modeling approach.…”
