Abstract: Predicting shock/shock and shock/boundary-layer interactions in gas flows that surround high-speed vehicles is key in aerodynamic design. Under typical hypersonic conditions, these flow structures are influenced by complex nonequilibrium phenomena leading to high-temperature effects.
