Paraneoplastic hypokalemia in acute myeloid leukemia: a case of renin activity in AML blast cells

Abstract: Hypokalemia due to renal potassium loss has frequently been observed in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The pathogenic mechanism for this hyperkaluresis is unclear.
