Among the rheumatic diseases whose symptoms are more often associated with the possibility of cancer and other malignancies are systemic sclerosis, dermatomyositis and rheumatic polymyalgia. However, a differential diagnosis should be performed in each case of non-typical rheumatic disease and/or other neoplastic disease risk factors. The article’s aim was based on a literature review of this subject and presentation own a case description and discussion about arthritis as a paraneoplastic syndrome. The conclusions of our analysis were as follows: more often paraneoplastic arthritis occurs in men, in ages higher than 50 years old, in patients who poorly respond to treatment of arthritis with polyarticular symmetrical involvement of the limbs, seronegative type of inflammatory joint disease. In this group of patients, complete remission after treatment of the primary tumor and recurrence of the symptoms in the presence of metastasis was observed.

Introduction. The clinical course of an autoimmune paraneoplastic syndrome parallels the natural history of the primary malignancy. In most cases, such paraneoplastic are syndromes hardly distinguishable from idiopathic autoimmune diseases. A case of polyangiitis with granulomatosis as a paraneoplastic syndrome in a patient with B-cell Lymphoma of the lacrimal gland has not yet been reported. Case Presentation. We present the case of a male patient with a B-cell Lymphoma of the lacrimal gland, who debuted with symptoms similar to rheumatoid arthritis and acute renal failure, secondary to polyangiitis with granulomatosis. The current pathophysiological hypotheses explaining the relationship between a lymphoproliferative disease and an autoimmune paraneoplastic disorder are discussed. Conclusion. Tumor-associated segmental necrotizing glomerulopathy is a very rare manifestation of glomerular diseases. Some atypical clinical features should increase the suspicion of an underlying tumor, in which case it is essential to treat the primary neoplasia, in order to control the autoimmune manifestations.

Hodgkin’s lymphoma (HL) is a monoclonal lymphoid neoplasm that is mainly characterized by multinucleated Reed–Sternberg cells on a background of non-neoplastic inflammatory cells. The incidence rate of Hodgkin’s lymphoma is 2.5 new cases per 100,000 people per year (1). Paraneoplastic syndromes are conditions that are related to malignancy; however, they are not a result of tumor invasion or compression of malignant tissues. These paraneoplastic syndromes can occur virtually at any point in the disease course, and paraneoplastic syndromes in HL and their various forms are not well studied. In this review article, we will be discussing paraneoplastic syndromes in general and then delve into specific syndromes seen in HL, followed by a brief discourse regarding their early recognition and timely management.
