Abstract: The objective of this study was to compare, by qPCR, the circulating blood parasite load of Trypanosoma cruzi in the buffy coat, and in whole blood mixed with boiled and unboiled guanidine hydrochloride-EDTA buffer, of individuals with chronic ChD.
