Parent-adolescent sexual communication can help reduce sexual risk behaviors among adolescents. However, research and theory are less clear regarding the specific pathways (i.e., mechanisms of change) by which this communication works to reduce sexual risk behavior. The current review addresses this gap by proposing a conceptual model describing the processes by which parent-adolescent sexual communication influences adolescents' sexual intentions and behaviors and by conducting a systematic review to locate evidence for this model. Guided by the Integrative Model of Behavioral Change, the proposed conceptual model focuses on the social cognitive pathways that act as explanatory mechanisms of the relations between parent-adolescent sexual communication and adolescents' sexual intentions and behaviors, as well as the characteristics of this communication that determine its effectiveness in influencing these sexual cognitions. Thirtyeight peer-reviewed studies were systematically located and synthesized. Findings showed consistent links between parent-adolescent sexual communication and adolescents' sexual attitudes and safe-sex efficacy (though links with perceived sexual norms were more mixed), which in turn may influence their sexual intentions and behaviors. Evidence also emerged to suggest that the characteristics of the communication itself (e.g., extent, content, quality) may influence its effectiveness over adolescents' sexual cognitions. The identification of these processes advances theory on parent-adolescent sexual communication which has, to date, been unclear regarding these pathways. As such, these findings can inform future research efforts as well as prevention efforts seeking to promote adolescent sexual health.

Altı hemşirenin aile planlaması eğitici eğitimi sertifikası, altı hemşirenin ise rahim içi araç sertifikası bulunmaktadır. Hemşirelerin kullanıcılara ilişkin deneyimlerine göre, geri çekme yönteminin yaygın kullanılma nedenleri, "cinsel konuların tabu olması" ve "kadının statüsünün düşük olması" olmak üzere iki tema altında ele alınmıştır. Hemşireler ile yapılan görüşmeler, hem kullanıcıların hem de hemşirelerin geri çekme yöntemi konusunda rahat bir şekilde konuşamadığını, kullanıcıların bu konuda hemşirelere soru sormadığını ve geri çekme yönteminin güvenli kullanımı konusunda bilgi talep etmediğini; hemşirelerin ise geri çekme yöntemine sorulmadıkça değinmediğini ortaya koymaktadır. Diğer taraftan, hemşirele-rin deneyimlerinden; eğitim düzeyi düşük ve gelir getiren herhangi bir işte çalışmayan kadınların yönteme ulaşma, kendini ifade etme, kendi bedeninin sorumluluğunu alma konularında sorun yaşadığı ve geri çekme yöntemini daha fazla kullandığı anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmanın bulguları, hem hemşireler hem de kadınların geri çekme yöntemi konusunda açıkça konuşamadığını göstermektedir. Modern yöntemlerin yan etkilerine yönelik yanlış algılamaların, geri çekme yöntemi kullanma davranışında etkili olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Objective: To develop a predictive model for HIV/AIDS in the sexual behavior of university students from a public university in the state of Guanajuato. Methodology: Correlational study involved 294 university students from 18 to 19 years of age by stratified random sampling. The instruments used were: attitudes, subjective norms, self-efficacy and intentions for HIV/AIDS and sexual behavior. Descriptive statistics, normality test of Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Spearman correlation and logistic regression was used. Results: In describing sexual behavior of young students at the beginning of sexual life is observed that 61.9% of them have had sexual life, with higher percentage in men. Of the 182 university students who reported first sexual intercourse used a contraceptive method 138 and 135 specifically used a condom the first time they had sex. The variables that have the ability to predict the sex drive at the start of sexual life, are the attitudes and perceived behavioral control (X 2 = 39,638, df = 4, p < 0.000), reporting a 12.6% of explained variance. Conclusions: In general, university students today are perceived as vulnerable to sexual behavior and have safe sex, which leads us to think that protect not get HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancies.

Understanding the sexual risk communication between African American adolescent males and their parents is important to developing strategies in reducing sexual risk behavior.
