Online learning has become a widespread practice for students and teachers in acquiring and delivering knowledge. Education platforms have become prominent in the 21st century with the evolution of technology and the accessibility to online learning. As a result, various learning management systems (LMSs) have been introduced to facilitate online interaction between users. For instance, communication between students and teachers at school. However, there is a need to emphasise user engagement in LMS to enhance the online learning experience amongst students since the design of LMS affects user engagement. This study utilised a systematic literature review (SLR) that examined 74 articles published between 2014 and 2023, focusing on cross-cultural design (CCD), user-centred design (UCD), and usability in LMS design. This study aimed to review CCD and its association with UCD, user interfaces (UI), and user experience (UX) in the context of LMS. CCD has been introduced as an approach to design that embraces different cultures, languages, and social contexts, while UCD plays a significant role in defining user engagement for LMS. All elements in CCD and UCD help create a better user experience for LMS. Besides, this study reviewed the usability of selected LMS to give insights to developers in creating a positive user engagement. An insight into cultural factors that influence the usability of LMS has revealed their value for LMS design, such as the UI/UX elements. Initially, this study may guide future researchers in improving education quality by emphasising CCD and LMS usability, which can enhance user engagement.

A systematic literature review (SLR) regarding parental involvement in children's ESL learning at the primary school level was carried out using electronic data searching. This review considered articles published in the last three years (2020–2022) from an electronic database, specifically SCOPUS. The paper summarizes previous research, examines the current literature, and suggests directions for future research. The results of this evaluation, which include the identification of ten relevant papers, show that the majority of the parental involvement studies were conducted qualitatively and focused more on home-based than school-based involvement. Besides that, reading activities were largely performed by parents to get involved in their children’s ESL learning followed by helping with homework. Several theories have been seen employed by studies shortlisted in this SLR namely Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory, Epstein Framework, Walker‘s Model of Parental Involvement, and Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory. Bourdieu Social Classes Theory and Asset-based Framework. The findings of this review suggest that for children to benefit most from reading, parents should obtain a better understanding of effective reading strategies. Additionally, more studies are needed on school-based parental involvement to get more insights into implementing home-school partnerships for better student educational outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the variables that affect students' academic well-being. This study found that individualized teaching, family support for learning and teacher dedication are some of the variables that have an impact on children's well-being. The study used a quantitative methodology with 57 students as the sample size. A questionnaire was used to collect the data and random sampling is used in the sampling process. Some of the data analysis methods used in PLS-SEM include path diagram models, validity tests, reliability tests, model fits, R squares and modified R squares, predictive relevance, collinearity, direct and indirect effects and hypothesis testing. The findings of the study demonstrate that well-being is significantly impacted by directly differentiated instruction that is customized to each student's needs and traits. The well-being of students is significantly impacted by parental learning support. Evaluation of the indirect effects reveals that the differentiated learning variable through teacher devotion significantly affects students' well-being. Parental support's indirect influence on the learning variable has a significant effect on children's wellbeing similar to how teacher dedication serves as a mediator. The research contribution to the development of literature is related to how the role of parent support in learning has led to increased teacher commitment. Effective implementation of individualized instruction and integration of parental assistance in learning into the learning process are accessible to teachers who have a strong dedication to their career. A committed teacher will create an inclusive learning environment that will ultimately realize the overall well-being of students.
