The development of information technology in the digital era has resulted in various changes in human life. The ease of internet access makes it easy for children to access various shows, which can affect their development. Schools and parents have an important role in managing student character. One of the main characteristics that students must have is a religious character. This study aimed to determine the management of character education in the digital era, which schools and parents can carry out, and the collaborative role of schools and parents in character education management. By employing the library method, this study analyzed as many as 40 articles per research objective to obtain the appropriate formulation. The results showed that character education in the digital era has several opportunities and challenges. Religious character education in the digital era can be carried out by schools, for example, through learning, extracurriculars, school programs, and habituation. Parents also play an important role in character education by supervising, educating, and setting an example. Parents can collaborate with schools in character education management by participating in the management process. The principal plays a crucial role in the collaborative process between parents and schools. Based on the discussion that has been carried out, it can be interpreted that the management of character education in the digital era of collaboration between schools and parents can be carried out by involving parents in managing character education, where the principal plays an essential role. Globalization is a global condition where change is shown and has a good or even bad impact on its users. They grew up with all the digital conveniences at their fingertips. Today's youth are privileged to grow up in a digitally advanced and globally connected world. However, a moral dilemma does hit the millennial generation in the classroom. The moral deviations indicated that many of the younger generations do not have good character in themselves. This research case illustrates why this research is worth discussing. This research contributes to a generation of young people who are characterized and civilized according to Islamic values and the values of Pancasila (citizenship). In this study, data collection used a qualitative approach with a literature review approach: reading journals, articles, or books as research data. The findings in this research (a) the nation's youth need to have full awareness to encourage themselves to take ethical values that combine knowledge, understanding, and action to create a comprehensive character. (b) the best practice in the formation of the Pancasila character is implementing and applying what is received so that it becomes a habit of attitude/behaviour in the life of the nation and state. (c) the values of Pancasila are contributed by Islamic religious education as a construction for the formation of a young generation with character, global outlook, love of the motherland, and the spirit of Pancasila in order of religious harmony. Limitations in this study only focus on discuss the prospects and challenges of character building in the midst of the globalization era, the best practices in character building in terms of Religious character and Pancasila, and the relevance of Islamic religious education and Pancasila values

This paper aims to analyze social media's impact on student character formation in one of the junior high schools in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, from the perspective of social identity. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study, in which researchers used interviews, observation and documentation to obtain valid and authentic data. The data analysis technique is carried out circularly, from data reduction to data presentation and conclusion. The study results show three motivations behind the character changes in students from the perspective of social identity: self-enhancement and positive distinctiveness, uncertainty reduction, and optimal distinctiveness. These three things can positively and negatively impact the dynamics of changes in children's character.
