“…Diallel cross system involving a set of inbred lines in all possible combinations is one of the mating design, but it becomes very difficult to manage as the number of lines increases. PDC are used to overcome this problem ( KEMPTHORNE and CURNOW, 1961;CURNOW, 1963;FYFE and GILBERT, 1963;NARAIN, 1979;ARYA, 1983;KAUSHIK and PURI, 1989;AGARWAL and DAS, 1990).
