Partnering with Families to Use Screen Time for Supporting Early Language and Literacy

Abstract: Professional recommendations, from multiple research organizations, include minimizing screen time for young children because of the potential risks. In 2020, the American Academy of Pediatrics (2020) recommended:■ No (0) screen time for children under age 2 with the exception of video chatting and ■ No more than 1 hour of screen time per day for children aged 2-5.
