RESUMOA utilização de tecnologias integradoras na manufatura direcionou a indústria para um novo paradigma de produção, em que existem menores interferências humanas e o sistema é inteligente e interconectado, a Indústria 4.0. Este sistema possui foco na produção inteligente de produtos, métodos e processos. Tecnologias como RFID, sensores, processamento na nuvem, impressões 3D fazem parte dos muitos componentes que podem ser encontrados em um sistema orientado pela Indústria 4.0. Este artigo tem por objetivo identificar as tecnologias e o nível de maturidade das aplicações da Indústria 4.0 nas empresas. A partir de um levantamento de 38 casos de sucesso resultantes de implementações tecnológicas associadas à Indústria 4.0 serão identificadas as tecnologias mais utilizadas e o atual nível de desenvolvimento destas tecnologias na prática das empresas. Os resultados indicam um nível inicial de desenvolvimento destas tecnologias nas empresas, indicando um potencial de aumento de produtividade com a aplicação destas tecnologias no setor produtivo.Palavras chave: smart industry; Internet of Things; tecnologias; níveis de maturidade

The newest industry revolution, called Industry 4.0, aims to unify and blend existing technologies, which are hierarchically treated, and make possible the idea of total integration among production levels, with a seamless flow of information. The current division into levels and the top-down approach to the information flow will begin to disappear, exchanges of information will occur in a manner that each device is capable of starting an operation on its own. There are, however, several challenges for this integration to become a reality, some of which are associated with the needed information architecture that should be used by production environments. This architecture must focus on Industry 4.0 requirements and be function-oriented, instead of hierarchical.

In Japan, companies have continuously improved the performance of quality, cost, delivery, environment, safety, and morale of Japanese Manufacturing Systems (JMS) by using unique management approaches, total quality management (TQM), Toyota production system (TPS), and total productive maintenance (TPM). After the introduction, they are implemented by many companies and organizations not only in Japan but also all over the world. Also, in modern Japan, Industry 4.0, IoT, and AI are considered, and various activities are promoted. In this paper, the literature on the research topics and methodologies related to TQM, TPS, and TPM are reviewed. Also, by referring the empirical studies on TQM, TPS, and TPM in overseas companies, the findings and issues to transfer them are discussed. Also, the current situation on the recent practical activities and academic research are reviewed.
