The article is devoted to the prospects for the development of international tourism in the conditions of technological transformations. The subject of the article is technological transformations affecting the development of international tourism. Application of information systems and dissemination of information in the tourism sector is one of the urgent issues of today. The hypothesis of scientific research is based on the assumption that international tourism is a multifunctional system capable of transformation under the influence of modern processes of globalization and digitalization, has a significant potential that can be successfully demanded under the influence of factors of scientific and technological content. The technological transformation algorithm based on the main stages of periodization is presented. A model has been created that reflects the types of transformations in the development of international tourism.The process of globalization leads to a rapid expansion of the flow of information, the result of which is the construction of an information society. It is clear that the emergence of information systems was determined by the level of development of computer technologies and changes in the expectations and needs of users. Despite the rapid development of innovative information technologies only from the mid-1990s, they became important in the activities of tourist and excursion organizations, as most of them began to actively use the Internet. Thanks to the provision of automation, the work is performed quickly, around the clock, and at the same time there is a significant saving of human resources, time and money.It has been proven that innovative information activities in the field of tourism are aimed at creating a new or changing an existing product, improving transport, hotel and other services, developing new markets, introducing advanced information and telecommunication technologies and modern forms of organizational and management activity. It is substantiated that the latest information technologies become determining factors for the competitiveness of the tourism industry and the activation of exchanges with other sectors of the economy related to it.
