Abstract:Background:
The defining features of dry eye syndrome, a frequent tear and ocular surface multifactorial disorder, are changes in the ocular surface epithelia linked with less tear production and elevated sensitivity of the ocular surface, which trigger an inflammatory response. Aqueous deficit dry eye and evaporated dry eye are the two common types of dry eye.
