This paper presents the formulation of novel implementation method based on parameter varying PD controller for fuzzy servo controllers. This formulation uses the approximation of fuzzy nonlinear function including error and error derivation in operation point. Obtained fuzzy control law has been employed to control angular position of servo using digital control technique applied to a typical microcontroller like AVR. The performance and robustness of modified fuzzy controller in comparison with PID controller evaluated in no load, applied external disturbance with different magnitude conditions has been studied. The simulation results showed that the proposed fuzzy controller has a considerable advantage in rise time, settling time and overshoot respect to PID controller when the servo system encounters with nonlinear features like saturation and friction.

Autoparking assistant systems are a new and very promising area in automotive systems engineering. Since the traffic in modern cities becomes more intense, it is getting harder for a driver. Those systems are necessary for an inexperienced one to find a proper parking slot, or to park in a narrow parking slot without damaging his car or the vehicles around. The implementation of autoparking assistant systems may reduce drivers' stress and make parking generally more comfortable. In addition, such system can be extremely useful for senior or disabled people or for drivers with reduced mobility. The implementation of autoparking assistant systems may increase the safety of the parking, and therefore the development of such systems is a highly-demanded task. We introduce an intelligent autoparking system that automatically generates trajectory for parking using a fuzzy logic. This paper consists of three parts. In first part we introduce trajectory generation method for parallel parking without collisions. Fuzzy-logic based trajectory generation algorithm is described in second part. Experimental results presented in the third part of the paper prove effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, a Model Free Adaptive Control (MFAC) scheme is proposed for automatic car parking systems. The scheme consists of a control algorithm, a parameter estimation algorithm and a parameter reset algorithm. The design of the proposed scheme only uses the input and output (I/O) data, and does not involve any model information of the controlled car. Therefore, the MFAC based automatic parking system is applicable for different kinds of car. The simulation comparisons among MFAC scheme and PID control scheme are given for different kinds of car with different parking speed. The simulation results show that the proposed MFAC scheme has smaller tracking errors in the orientation angle of the car, the x axis and y axis.
