Abstract:With babesiosis in dogs, the capillary network is especially strongly affected due to the stimulation of the hemostasis system and the development of thrombus formation in the microvasculature. Acute renal failure and even death of animals are caused by shock phenomena and the syndrome of disseminated intravascular coagulation.
