Pattern diagnosis of onycholysis

Abstract: Onycholysis is defined as the detachment of the nail plate from the underlying and/or lateral supporting structures. Trauma, inflammatory conditions, infectious agents, tumours and toxic substances are the most commonly reported causes of onycholysis.
