“…As previously reported (Guay and Bedoya 1981b;Monniaux et al 1983;Mehmood et al 1991), the ovulation rate, recorded as the number of collected embryos, was also positively correlated with the E2 peak in cows, and cows also had a significantly higher number of collected embryos than heifers. The reliability of E2 concentrations, measured during estrus as a predictor of superovulatory response, would, therefore, be more accurate in cows than in heifers.…”
