Abstract:Monophasic PbMoO 4 possessing tetragonal symmetry with varied Eu 3? concentrations is synthesized by solid state reaction method. The samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning election microscope, energy dispersive spectra, excitation spectra, emission spectra and decay curves. Single cubic phase of PbMoO 4 crystal is confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. Analysis of the photoluminescence spectra indicates that the phosphor can be excited by UV light of 386 nm, thus emitting intense red light… Show more
“…The PbTiO 3 (PTO), Mo doped PTO (PTOM- x ) and Na/Mo co-doped PTO (PTONM- x ) were prepared by the molten salt method ( x refers to the molar percentage of Mo/(Mo + Ti) in raw materials, and the molar ratio of Na/Mo is 1 : 1), 30 and PbMoO 4 (PMO) as a reference was prepared by the reported solid-state method. 31 Due to the similar ionic radius of Mo 6+ and Ti 4+ , Mo 6+ tends to supersede Ti 4+ . 32 In view of the valence state and radii differences of Mo 6+ and Ti 4+ , lead molybdate (PbMoO 4 ) might form during the preparation processes.…”
Herein, we demonstrate a sodium/molybdenum (Na/Mo) co-doped ferroelectric PbTiO3 for efficient photocatalysis under visible light. Doped with high concentration of Mo6+, quasi-continuous new energy levels are successfully introduced below the...
