Abstract:The PD‐1‐PD‐L1 immune checkpoint helps to maintain self‐tolerance and prevent the development of autoimmune diseases. Immune checkpoint inhibitors are successful immunotherapeutics for several cancers, but responding patients can develop immune‐mediated adverse events.
