Abstract: BACKGROUND For midline tumors, surgical biopsy risks neurological injury. Non-invasive methods for diagnosis and surveillance are greatly needed. Tumors release DNA into cerebrospinal fluid (CSF-ctDNA), allowing for potential detection and serial monitoring of tumor-associated genetic mutations by CSF sampling.
