Peculiarities of Engineering Thinking Formation Using 3D Technology

Abstract: The problem of the research is due to the need to create a special engineering style of thinking within the digital educational space, which implies readiness for research, creativity, responsibility, and supported by modern high-tech tools in order to provide resources for solving the problems of Industry 4.0. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the effectiveness of using 3D technologies for the formation of engineering thinking as an important competence of a h… Show more

“…In rhinoplasty, the simulated 3D image is converted into the operation plan of the operating room in a quantitative way, which is helpful to quantitatively translate the patient target in dorsal reduction rhinoplasty to the operating room and patients in the form of preoperative markers [19]. In the digital education space, the engineering thinking mode is used to formulate the principles and support directions of student research activity tutors in three-dimensional modeling [20]. The use of 3D printing technology in medicine is aimed at determining whether medical students are willing to use this technology to obtain accurate anatomical models to help them learn [21].…”

“…The findings are scientifically and methodologically complementary to the work of O. N. Vasilyeva, N. V. Konovalova [33], and N. A. Bushmeleva et. al., since they rely on specific lesson planning and corresponding systems of assignments, and principles for constructing interdisciplinary projects [13]. The authors tried to take into account and adapt the results of Ch.-Y.…”

“…Methods for developing engineering competencies using 3D technologies are being tested [11]. Particular studies on the use of 3D tools in biology, chemistry [12], and the training of future teachers [13] are presented. But at the same time, in the Russian educational system, there are practically no scientifically based methodological approaches to the use of 3D modeling technology in the process of studying natural science disciplines, aimed at developing the research skills of schoolchildren.…”
