Pediatric Biobanking: Kids Are Not Just Little Adults

Abstract: T he Centre for Human Metabolomics (CHM) Biobank was established in the beginning of 2019 and is the first congenital rare disease biobank in South Africa and Africa. Congenital disorders are a very important cause of spontaneous abortions, stillbirths, infant and childhood deaths, as well as chronic illness and disability.
