Pediatric Duodenal Dieulafoy’s Lesion, A Serious but Rare Condition: Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract: Dieulafoy's lesion is a rare cause of severe upper gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhage in children. This lesion most often occurs in the proximal part of the stomach. We report a case of massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding in a 16-year-old male originating from Dieulafoy's lesion in the third part of the duodenum. Esophageal gastric duodenal endoscopy and angiography failed, and surgical intervention was required.
