Abstract:OBJECTIVE
Pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the leading cause of death among children and is a significant cause of morbidity. However, the majority of injuries are mild (Glasgow Coma Scale score 13–15) without any need for neurosurgical intervention, and clinically significant neurological decline rarely occurs.
