Abstract:Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) represents chronic orthostatic intolerance. Patients usually suffer from presyncopal symptoms, such as lightheadedness, headache, blurred vision, and fatigue. Central hypovolemia, peripheral vascular dysfunction, and a hyperadrenergic state may contribute to the pathogenesis of POTS.
