Abstract

A good way to cultivate fish is to maintain, raise, harvest and market the results optimally. Cultivation in a controlled environment thus guarantees food safety from cultivation by paying attention to sanitation, fish medicine, feed and chemicals as well as pond area. This service activity aims to ensure that fish farmers in Tebel Gedangan Village, Sidoarjo, can manage fish cultivation well, in a controlled manner and generate optimal profits as possible. The methods used are training, counseling and direct practice. This training and counseling on how to properly cultivate gourami and catfish is very useful for gourami and catfish cultivators to determine the optimal amount of cultivation for each fish so that maximum profits or income can be achieved. This is in accordance with the aim of the cultivation business, namely to produce maximum results using existing resources.The training and counseling that has been carried out has really attracted the attention of the community, this is proven by the enthusiasm of the residents who are quite enthusiastic in participating in the socialization from start to finish. From the data processing, the results obtained in one harvest period are the number of gourami fish that must be cultivated is 209 while the catfish is 366 so that the maximum profit that can be obtained is IDR. 3,324,608.
