Yogyakarta residents are enthusiastic about joining farmer groups utilizing urban yards by executing the Lorong Sayur (vegetable alley) program. Members of the farmer groups realize the potential for expanding urban farming in confined spaces like narrow alleys and other such locations. This study aims to determine the level of motivation and the factors affecting the motivation of urban farmer group members in implementing the Lorong Sayur program in Yogyakarta. The research was purposively conducted in Yogyakarta, precisely in the Districts of Umbulharjo, Danurejan, and Kotagede. Fifty-five respondents were selected using multistage random sampling. Both primary and secondary data, obtained through interviews utilizing questionnaires, observation, and documentation, were employed. The data were analyzed using a Likert scale and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Three needs from Clayton Alderfer’s ERG theory have been proven to predict motivation: the need for existence fell in the medium category, and both the needs for relatedness and growth belonged to the high category. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient discovered that income, frequency of counseling attendance, the agricultural extension workers’ role, and the role of farmer group leaders were all significantly related to urban farmer group members’ motivation to implement the Lorong Sayur program.

Yogyakarta City is one of the areas that implements vegetable alleys to meet people’s food needs. However, in its implementation there are obstacles to the lack of participation of farmer group members. The study aims to determine the perception of the members of the farmer group towards the implementation of the vegetable aisle, and the factors related to the perception of the members of the farmer group towards the implementation of the vegetable aisle. The research was conducted in the Districts of Umbulharjo, Danurejan and Kotagede. In each sub-district, 4 farmer groups were taken and each farmer group was taken by 5 farmers so that a total of 60 respondents. Data obtained through interviews with a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and spearman rank correlation analysis. The research results show that the perception of farmer group members towards the vegetable aisle from technical and economic aspects is quite good, while from health, aesthetics and environmental aspects it is good. It is recommended that members of farmer groups participate more actively in the implementation of vegetable aisles.

Pengelolaan sampah merupakan kegiatan penting yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat dan kualitas lingkungan. Sampah yang tidak dikelola dengan baik seperti pembakaran dapat menimbulkan masalah lingkungan dan gangguan kesehatan bagi manusia. Sampah plastik merupakan jenis sampah yang membutuhkan waktu 100 hingga 500 tahun untuk terurai sepenuhnya. Kegiatan intervensi dilakukan di Desa Mojosari, Kecamatan Kalitidu, Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan kuisioner menunjukkan bahwa 91% warga Desa Mojosari tidak mengelola sampahnya dengan baik seperti kebiasaan membakar sampah, tidak melakukan kegiatan 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), tidak memilah sampah organik dan anorganik. , dan membuang sampah sembarangan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga tentang pentingnya mengolah sampah plastik, memilah sampah, dan tata cara membuat kerajinan tangan dari sampah plastik. Tahap pengabdian masyarakat diawali dengan identifikasi masalah melalui hasil FGD, observasi, dan kuisioner. Penetapan masalah prioritas menggunakan metode CARL dan didapatkan pengelolaan sampah sebagai masalah prioritas. Kemudian untuk mengidentifikasi akar masalahnya menggunakan analisis pohon masalah. Penetapan prioritas alternatif solusi dengan menggunakan metode MEER dan solusi terpilih yaitu diadakannya program kerajinan tangan dari sampah plastik sebagai upaya pengelolaan sampah plastik 3R yang dihasilkan oleh masyarakat. Sehingga program intervensi yang dilakukan adalah NGOPLAS (Pengolahan Sampah Plastik) yang terdiri dari sosialisasi pentingnya pengolahan sampah plastik, pengumpulan sampah plastik, dan pelatihan pembuatan kerajinan sampah plastik yaitu kebun vertikal. Melalui kegiatan ini terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu rumah tangga terkait pengolahan sampah plastik, pemilahan sampah, dan tata cara pembuatan kerajinan dari sampah plastik yaitu taman vertikal sebesar 37,5% dan ibu rumah tangga dengan antusias berlatih mendekorasi botol plastik dengan sangat antusias. kreatif, dan menanam tanaman dalam botol plastik yang telah dibuat dengan sangat baik. Kegiatan intervensi ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan oleh masyarakat Desa Mojosari dalam mengolah sampah khususnya sampah plastik menjadi kerajinan tangan. dan menanam tanaman dalam botol plastik yang telah dibuat dengan sangat baik.
