Local bovine bone wastes, which are abundant in Aceh Province, have been successfully used as biomineral sources to produce heterogeneous catalysts that result in alkaline oxide. This study aimed to produce alkaline oxides by employing a high heat breakdown approach on local bovine bone particles at atmospheric pressure. The physicochemical analysis of the obtained inorganic particles revealed that the predominant component of those obtained inorganic oxide particles was calcium oxides (CaO). Furthermore, the produced alkaline oxide was employed as an alkali oxide catalyst for the transesterification of palm oil (RPDPO) with methanol, yielding methyl ester compounds, which are well recognized as a sustainable and green diesel energy source.
